Terms and conditions

These terms govern rides with a driver ordered under the Precelya brand. They apply to every ride confirmed in writing, whether it is requested by a private individual or by a business. Version of . This is a translation: in the event of any difference, the French version prevails.

1. Who sells the ride

The Precelya brand is operated by [ENTITÉ], [FORME JURIDIQUE], whose registered office is at [ADRESSE], registered under SIRET number [SIRET] (Trade and Companies Register: [RCS]) and entered on the French register of private hire operators under number [LICENCE EVTC]. It is referred to below as "the operator". Contact: [email protected], phone 07 45 23 23 75.

The "customer" is the person who orders the ride; the "passenger" is the person carried. They may be different people, for instance when an agency or a relative books for a traveller.

2. The services

The operator provides passenger transport in a car with a driver, at fixed prices:

  • transfers between Paris, the airports of Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais, the Paris railway stations, Disneyland Paris, Parc Astérix and Versailles;
  • packages of set length, such as "Paris in 4 hours", the Versailles half day or the Disneyland Paris day trip;
  • hire of a car with driver by the hour, for at least 3 hours, with 20 kilometres per hour included;
  • long-distance journeys from Paris, to the destinations listed in the rate card.

Three vehicles are offered: the Mercedes E-Class sedan (3 passengers, 3 bags), the Mercedes V-Class van (7 passengers, 7 bags) and the Mercedes S-Class (3 passengers, 3 bags). The model booked is the model that carries out the ride: a booked V-Class is never replaced by another model without the customer's consent.

The service is transport. During a package or an hourly hire, the driver drives, drops the passengers off, waits for them and picks them up again; the driver gives no presentation of the places visited, does not accompany passengers on foot, and sells no tickets or admissions.

3. Booking

A private hire car may only pick up a passenger on an advance booking: no ride is carried out without a request recorded beforehand.

Requests are made through the price request form, by e-mail or by phone. They state the date and time, or the flight or train number, the pick-up and drop-off addresses, the number of passengers and bags, each child's age and a phone number that can be reached on the day. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of this information.

The booking is made when the operator confirms the date, route, vehicle and price in writing, by e-mail, and the customer accepts that confirmation, by a written reply or by making the payment it requests. Every request depends on which vehicles are free on the date wanted. Online payment at the time of booking will be offered later; these terms will be updated at that point.

4. Prices

Prices are fixed, stated in euros including all taxes, for the whole car and not per passenger. They appear in the rate card published on the prices page, with the date they were last checked. The price binding on both parties is the one in the written confirmation.

The price is the same whatever time the ride takes place. It includes:

  • Fixed price confirmed before the ride, unchanged at any hour
  • Age-appropriate child seat fitted by the driver, at no extra cost
  • 60 minutes of free waiting time at airports, 30 at railway stations, 15 elsewhere
  • Flight and train tracking: pick-up time follows any delay
  • Meet and greet with a name board
  • Tolls and parking included
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up

Not included, and priced before the ride if requested: an unplanned stop on the way, an additional address, a detour, extra hours of waiting once the free time is over (article 5). A change of route or of the number of passengers may change the vehicle required, and therefore the price; it is confirmed in writing.

5. Waiting, late passengers and no-shows

Free waiting time is given at every pick-up: 60 minutes for a flight, 30 minutes for a train, 15 minutes at any other address. When the clock starts: for a flight, when the plane actually lands, not at the scheduled time; for a train, when it actually arrives in the station; at any other address, at the agreed meeting time. The flight or train is tracked using the number provided: a transport delay moves the pick-up time at no cost.

Beyond the free time, every hour started is charged in full, at the rate below for the vehicle:

Extra waiting per hour beyond the free time, price including VAT
Service E-Class sedanup to 3 passengers · 3 bags V-Class van (guaranteed)up to 7 passengers · 7 bags S-Classup to 3 passengers · 3 bags
Extra waiting time, per hour €72 €88 €99

Price per vehicle, not per passenger, taxes included · 10% VAT included · Prices checked on .

If the passenger does not turn up, meaning they are not at the meeting point at the end of the free waiting time and have neither cancelled nor answered the driver's attempts to reach them on the number provided, the ride is treated as not carried out because of the customer and its full price (100%) is due. If we reach the passenger and they tell us they are delayed, they are still expected: the ride goes ahead, and any time past the free waiting period is charged at the rate above.

6. Changes and cancellation

Any change (date, time, address, number of passengers, vehicle) is requested in writing and confirmed by the operator, with the new price if it changes. Moving the ride to another date, time or address costs nothing until the driver has set out for the pick-up point.

Cancellation by the customer is free up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. After that point, the following scale applies: 50% of the ride price is due for a cancellation received between 24 hours and 6 hours before pick-up; 100% of the price is due for a cancellation received less than 6 hours before pick-up, and for a no-show (article 5). Cancellations are made by e-mail or any other dated written message; the time of receipt is the time that counts.

If the operator cancels a confirmed ride, it informs the customer as soon as possible; the customer is refunded in full for any sums already paid and receives compensation equal to the amount that would be charged to them for a late cancellation on their part ([COMPENSATION IF THE OPERATOR CANCELS]), except in cases of force majeure.

7. Passengers, luggage and child seats

Each seat may be occupied by one person only: the number of passengers may not exceed the vehicle capacity given in article 2, children included. Oversized luggage (double pushchair, bicycle, sports equipment) must be mentioned in the request; if its volume exceeds what the booked vehicle can take, the operator says so before the ride.

In France, children travel in a restraint suited to their age, height and weight up to age 10, and a child under 10 travels in the back, save for the exceptions set by the French Highway Code. Child seats are provided at no extra cost and fitted by the driver, provided each child's age is given in the request. The seats provided meet the current standard: approved seats, Isofix or booster depending on age.

Passengers remain responsible for their valuables and for any bags they keep with them.

8. Payment

The price is the one in the written confirmation. When payment is due is stated in that confirmation. Accepted means of payment: [PAYMENT METHODS]. No payment details are requested on this website.

9. Invoices and VAT

An invoice is issued for every ride. It is issued by [ÉMETTEUR DE FACTURE].

Passenger transport is subject to VAT at the reduced rate of 10% (French General Tax Code, art. 279 b quater): this covers transfers and journeys to a destination set in advance. Outside transport, a service bears the standard rate, which is 20%. When a car is hired by the hour, or for the "Paris in 4 hours", "Versailles half-day" and "Giverny day trip" packages, the rate applied is shown on the confirmation and on the invoice; published prices always include all taxes.

10. Liability and insurance

The operator carries out the ride with a driver holding the professional card and a vehicle that meets the regulations. The operator holds professional liability insurance: [INSURANCE].

Journey times given are estimates. A delay caused by an event the operator could neither foresee nor avoid (road closure, road accident involving third parties on the route, severe weather, decision of the authorities) does not change the price and does not engage its liability. If the driver is late for a reason attributable to the operator: [DRIVER DELAY: COMMITMENT], as set out on our guarantees page. Nothing in these terms limits the operator's liability for personal injury suffered by a passenger.

Passengers follow safety instructions, in particular wearing a seat belt. The driver may refuse to start, or may stop, a ride that would endanger the safety of the people on board.

11. Personal data

The information given for a price request or a booking is used to organise the ride. How it is processed is described in the privacy policy.

12. Complaints and consumer mediation

Any complaint is sent in writing to [email protected], stating the date and route of the ride. The operator replies in writing.

If the written complaint does not resolve the matter, a customer acting as a consumer is entitled to take it, at no cost, to a consumer mediator in search of an amicable solution (French Consumer Code, art. L612-1). Mediator appointed by the operator: [MÉDIATEUR].

13. Right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal that applies to distance contracts does not apply to passenger transport services (Article L221-2, 9° of the French Consumer Code). A booked ride can, however, be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up, under the conditions of article 6.

14. Governing law and disputes

French law governs these terms. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute is brought before the competent court under the ordinary rules; a customer acting as a consumer keeps the right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence where the law provides for it.

15. Business customers

Where the ride is ordered by a business (agency, concierge service, company), the following payment rules apply in addition to article 8 (Article L441-10, II of the French Commercial Code):

  • payment term: [BUSINESS PAYMENT TERM];
  • late-payment penalties, due without any reminder, at the rate of [LATE-PAYMENT INTEREST RATE: proposal three times the French statutory interest rate, the minimum allowed; failing a written rate, the law applies the European Central Bank rate plus 10 points];
  • fixed indemnity for recovery costs: €40, due automatically in the event of late payment.

16. Version of these terms

The terms that apply are those in force on the date of the written confirmation of the ride. This version is dated . The original is in French; in the event of any difference, the French version prevails.
