What we promise, and what we refuse to promise

A promise only counts if it is written down, worded the same way on every page and in the terms of sale. Here is the full list of what we commit to as a fixed-price private driver in Paris, followed by what we do not promise, so that nothing comes as a surprise on the day.

Promised in writing

Nine commitments that apply to every ride

A fixed price, known before you set off

You get one amount for the whole car, VAT included, before you book. It stays put if the motorway is jammed, if your flight lands late or if the journey takes longer than expected. The price only changes if the ride itself changes: an extra passenger who means switching to the van, an added stop, a second address. The full rate card is on our private driver prices page.

The same price at any hour

No surcharge at 11 pm or at 5 am: the time you land makes no difference to the bill. Among the offers we read on 12 October 2026, only taxis and one platform stated such a rule; with us it applies to every line of the rate card.

A guaranteed V-Class, never "or similar"

When you book the van, a Mercedes V-Class turns up: 7 passengers and 7 bags. Every van offer we read on 12 October 2026 carried the words "V-Class or similar", and none guaranteed the model. If no V-Class is free on your date, we say so before you book; we never swap it quietly. More on the vehicle on our 7-seater van with driver in Paris page.

Child seats included, fitted by the driver

In France, children must travel in a suitable restraint up to age 10. Tell us each child's age: the driver brings the right seat, whether a baby carrier, a child seat or a booster, and fits it before you get in. One suitable seat for each child named in your request, at no extra charge, up to the number of seats in the vehicle. The seats meet the current standard: approved seats, Isofix or booster depending on age. Families will find the rest on our family private driver in Paris page.

Free waiting time, depending on where we meet

For a flight, 60 minutes counted from the real touchdown; for a train, 30 minutes counted from its real arrival at the platform; anywhere else, 15 minutes counted from the agreed meeting time. That covers baggage reclaim, passport control or a slow hotel lift. Beyond that, every hour of waiting started is charged in full at the hourly waiting rate: €72 by sedan, €88 by van (details on the prices page).

Flights and trains tracked

With your flight or train number, we time the pick-up to the actual arrival. A delay costs you nothing and you do not need to call us.

A name board

At airports and stations, the driver waits in the arrivals area holding a board with the passenger's name. No searching the crowd for your driver.

Tolls and parking included

Motorway tolls and airport or station parking while the driver waits are all part of the quoted price. None of these costs is added to the invoice.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before

You can cancel at no cost up to 24 hours before the pick-up time. After that, 50% of the price is due for a cancellation between 24 and 6 hours before, and 100% under 6 hours or if you do not turn up, as set out in our terms and conditions.

Said plainly

What we refuse to promise

We do not promise

  • Talks about the sights, or someone to show you round: on a trip such as "Paris in 4 hours", the driver drives, drops you off, waits and picks you up again. You run the visit yourself.
  • A prestige car: we drive Mercedes E-Class and V-Class, with an S-Class on request. Nothing above that.
  • Made-up reviews: no ratings, no testimonials written by us. Reviews will come from real customers, on our public listing.
  • A journey time: the driving times we give are estimates only. The price is fixed; the traffic is not.
  • Set compensation if the driver is late, for as long as the rule has not been written down (see below).

What we do instead

  • On "Paris in 4 hours", photo stops, with a driver who waits while you look around, all within the package price.
  • Three named models, always the same, each described with its capacity.
  • A complaints address read by the operator: [email protected].
If we are late

If the driver runs late

It should be rare, but it has to be planned for. Our commitment if the driver is late: [DRIVER DELAY: COMMITMENT]. Until it is set, we write no figure. For the record, in our market survey of 12 October 2026, no competitor we read promised any compensation when their driver was late.

We would rather publish an exact rule a little later than a broad promise nobody could check. Once it is settled, it will appear here and in the terms and conditions, in the same words. How a ride actually runs, from the price request to the invoice, is set out step by step on our how it works page.

Who stands behind this

Who answers for these guarantees

Precelya is operated by [ENTITÉ], registered on the French register of private hire operators under number [LICENCE EVTC]. That registration is a legal requirement for offering rides with a driver. Our drivers hold the professional private-hire card, which takes a passed exam and a driving licence held for at least three years. Professional liability insurance: [INSURANCE]. How we work is set out on the page who is Precelya.

If any promise on this page is not kept, write to us at [email protected] with the date and the route. The full complaints procedure, including consumer mediation, is set out in our terms and conditions; the operator's details are in the legal notice.

Questions about our guarantees

Can the quoted price go up on the day?

No, as long as the ride matches your request: same route, same number of passengers, same vehicle. Neither the hour nor the traffic has any effect on it. Only an added stop, a second address or extra waiting once the free time is over can be added, and each is priced in advance.

What if the V-Class van is not available?

We never swap a V-Class for another model without your agreement. If no V-Class is free on your date, we tell you when we send the price, before anything is booked, and you are free to walk away.

Do I need to bring my own child seat?

No. Give each child's age in your request: the driver brings a suitable seat and fits it, at no extra cost.

Does free cancellation apply to every ride?

It applies up to 24 hours before the pick-up time. After that, 50% of the price is due for a cancellation between 24 and 6 hours before, and 100% under 6 hours or if the passenger does not turn up; the details are in our terms and conditions.

Why are there no customer reviews on this site?

Because we do not yet have any that can be checked. We will never publish ratings or testimonials written by ourselves: reviews will come from real customers, on our public listing, where anyone can read them and reply.
