"V-Class or similar": which vehicle actually turns up?
The short answer
Not necessarily a V-Class. On the offers read on 12 October 2026, the van is sold everywhere as “V-Class or similar”, Vito or Caravelle included: no service guarantees the model. At Transfeero, for CDG → Champs-Élysées, the Vito costs €127.55 and the V-Class €196.55, a gap of €69 (tolls and low-emission zone included).
At Precelya the van is a guaranteed V-Class, never another model: seven passengers, seven bags, €125 between CDG and Paris.

What “or similar” allows
The phrase “V-Class or similar” leaves the provider free to choose the vehicle that arrives, within a category the customer does not control. On the booking pages read on 12 October 2026, no competitor guarantees the van model: the trade name promises a category, not a car.
That margin is not theoretical. One site can list two vans at different prices for the same trip: the phrase “or similar” lets the gap play out on the car, not on the price.
| Vehicle | Price recorded (taxes, tolls and low-emission zone included) |
|---|---|
| Vito (Transfeero) | €127.55 |
| V-Class (Transfeero) | €196.55 |
| Gap between the two | €69 |
| Guaranteed V-Class (Precelya, CDG ↔ Paris) | €125 |
What changes when the model is guaranteed
A guaranteed model means the same car as the one booked: seven passengers and seven bags, with no wondering what fits in the boot. With a “similar” model, the seat count and capacity can vary from one ride to the next, which matters most when you travel six or seven strong with suitcases.
We do not compare the models' technical specifications here: the point is that the customer does not know which one will arrive. The guarantee takes nothing off the price, which stays fixed and known in advance.
For a large family, capacity is the real question
Six or seven travellers also means luggage, a stroller and sometimes two child seats. A family that books a van on the strength of the name “V-Class” and sees another model arrive cannot reopen the question at the airport, suitcases at their feet. That is the situation the model guarantee prevents.
Seats suited to each child's age are fitted in that same van at no extra cost; give each child's age in the price request.
