Parc Astérix from Paris: shuttle bus or private driver, how much for a family?
The short answer
For two adults and two children aged 3 or over, the Parc Astérix shuttle bus costs €56 return (€14 per person), but it leaves from CDG airport, not from Paris. A private driver in a van, from your door to the park entrance, costs €155 one way and €310 there and back, for the whole vehicle.
Once you are at Roissy, the shuttle is by far the cheapest option; it is boarded at the airport bus station, and getting there from Paris is not counted here. For a departure from Paris itself, the park's access page refers to coaches run by third-party companies from Paris, with no fares or times shown. The van buys you door-to-door travel, child seats already fitted and a return time of your choosing.
Shuttle fares and conditions read on 19 October 2026 on the park's website. Sources: Parc Astérix, shuttle page (in French) and Parc Astérix, getting to the park.
The park's shuttle starts at Roissy, not in Paris
The word "shuttle" is easy to misread. The park's shuttle leaves from Roissypôle, at CDG; from Paris, the park points to coaches run by third-party companies. Its only departure point is the Roissypôle bus station at CDG airport (bay A3), next to the "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1" RER station; the ride to the park takes about 25 minutes.
There is one fare for everyone: €8 one way, €14 return, free under 3. The timetable: a departure every 15 to 30 minutes, from one hour before opening to one hour after closing, on the park's opening days; service sometimes paused between 1 pm and 3:30 pm depending on crowds. As for the ticket: dated ticket to be booked the day before at the latest, with no changes, refunds or exchanges. If your plans change, the seat you booked does not move with them.
For a family staying near the airport, or landing that same day, it is a simple and inexpensive way in. For a family staying in central Paris, it is the second half of a two-stage journey.
The sums for a family of four
Take two adults and two children aged 3 or over, leaving a Paris hotel in the morning and coming back in the evening. The table adds up what each option costs for all four; anything that is not published is not given a figure.
| Option | Starts from | Total for 4 | Still to add |
|---|---|---|---|
| Park shuttle, return | Roissypôle (CDG) | €56 | The trip from Paris to Roissypôle, out and back |
| Third-party coaches | Paris | Not shown by the park | Fares and times to ask the coach company |
| Precelya, V-Class van, one way | Your address | €155 | Nothing: a fixed price for the vehicle |
| Precelya, V-Class van, there and back | Your address | €310 | Nothing: two trips at the fixed price |
With a child under 3, the shuttle costs one ticket less; the van is priced for the vehicle, however many seats you fill. Why the van and not the sedan? The E-Class sedan seats 3 passengers: at four, you need the van, which seats 7. A family of three can take the sedan, at €139 one way.
The road, the return time and waiting
The park is 35 km north of Porte de la Chapelle and gives about 30 minutes by road from Paris. From the city centre, the route planner gives 34.6 to 43 km and 45 to 50 minutes without traffic: a rough figure, not a promised time. By van, that is the only leg of the day; with the shuttle, add the trip out to Roissy and the time spent waiting for a departure.
In the evening, the shuttle sets the pace: it runs until one hour after closing, on a dated ticket that cannot be changed, and you still have the ride from Roissy back into Paris. With a driver, you set the return time when you book; the driver waits 15 minutes at the agreed spot at no charge. Beyond that, waiting is charged by the hour, €88 in the van: if you plan to stay until closing, pick your return time to match, or write to us to move it.
The driver does not spend the day at the park: the outward and return journeys are two trips, each at the fixed price, the same in the morning and in the evening.
With children: seats, pushchair and opening dates
In the van, each child's seat is provided and fitted by the driver at no extra cost: just give their ages in your request. The pushchair and the day bag go in the boot, and nobody has to carry a sleeping child from one connection to the next on the way home.
Children under 3 get into the park free and ride the shuttle free as well. The park is not open every day: its dated tickets are valid from 4 April 2026 to 3 January 2027, on the opening days of the calendar. Check the opening day and hours on the park's website before booking any transport; our prices do not include admission tickets.
