Paris in 4 hours: package or hourly driver, which is cheaper?
The short answer
For exactly four hours, hourly hire comes to €288 by sedan against €285 for the package, and €352 by van against €349. The package is therefore lower, by €3 by sedan and €3 by van.
The “Paris in 4 hours” package is a circuit with photo stops: the driver drops you off, waits, then picks you up. By the hour, the minimum is 3 hours, with 20 km per hour included. The choice therefore comes down to the length of your plans.

The two options side by side
The package lasts 4 hours, waiting included. Hourly hire is billed from 3 hours: €72 an hour by sedan, €88 by van, with 20 km included per hour. Both options show “VAT included” without a rate.

What the market charges
Drivigo lists €100 an hour by sedan and €120 an hour by van, which makes €400 and €480 for four hours, ignoring any minimum. Welcome Pickups lists €330 for “Paris in 4 hours” for up to 8 people, without naming the vehicle.
Kiwitaxi, Booking.com, Uber and Transfeero sell neither “Paris in 4 hours” nor Versailles on the pages read on 12 October 2026. The package is therefore rare; it is mostly compared with hourly hire.
A family plan, hour by hour
With children, four hours are not filled the way a weekend without them is: a photo stop, a snack break, a child dozing off in the car. The package is built for that rhythm, with a driver who waits at each stop. The hourly rate has the advantage of stretching: five hours instead of four, with nothing renegotiated.
In both options the child seats are fitted by the driver at no extra cost, and the guaranteed van takes seven passengers and seven bags.
