A private driver for an evening in Paris: how much, and what is the minimum?
The short answer
An evening with a private driver is booked by the hour, for at least 3 hours: €72 an hour in an E-Class sedan, so €216 for the shortest evening, and €88 an hour in a V-Class van, so €264. Each hour includes 20 km, and the rate stays the same after midnight.
For those hours, the car and its driver are yours: you are dropped off, the driver waits with the car, then picks you up again, at as many addresses as your evening has. The price for the time you book is confirmed before the ride.

What an evening costs, by length
The sum is a single multiplication: the number of hours booked, never fewer than 3, times the hourly price of the vehicle you choose. Included mileage works the same way, 20 km per hour, which comes to 60 km for a 3-hour evening.

Example: dinner, then a show. The driver collects you at your hotel, leaves you outside the restaurant and waits. When the meal is over, you are driven to the venue, the driver waits again, then takes you back. If it all fits into 3 hours, the evening costs €216 in a sedan; if it runs to four, €288. Tickets, seats and the bill are yours to pay: only the car and the driver are in the price.
Beyond 3 hours, and after midnight
The minimum is not a cap. An evening that runs on carries on at the same hourly rate, with no surcharge, hour after hour. The easiest approach is to give the length you expect when you ask for a price: the confirmed amount then covers the whole evening, and you know in advance what you will pay.
The time you head home makes no difference to the amount. An hour costs as much in the late afternoon as in the middle of the night: there is no night rate. That rule applies across the whole Precelya price list, transfers included.
As for distance, 60 km over 3 hours is enough to move between several Paris neighbourhoods. If your evening takes you further, to the suburbs or beyond the Paris region, describe the route in your request: the extra mileage is built into the price we confirm.
Two rides, or a driver for the evening?
Not everyone needs a driver for the whole evening. If you are going to one address and know when you will leave, two simple rides within Paris will do: €69 each in a sedan, so €138 there and back, or €170 by van. That is €78 less than a minimum evening in a sedan.
Booking by the hour makes sense once the evening has several stops, when you cannot be sure what time you will come out, or when you would rather find the car at the door without arranging a pick-up time. For a return ride booked in advance, free waiting at an address is 15 minutes; with an hourly booking, the driver waits for the whole time booked, with nothing counted separately.
Hourly prices elsewhere on the market
On 12 October 2026, Drivigo listed €100 an hour by sedan and €120 an hour by van. Over three hours, that makes €300 and €360, worked out without knowing whether that service has a minimum.
On the same date, Welcome Pickups was selling a four-hour programme in Paris for €330, for up to 8 people, without stating the vehicle. It is a package rather than an hourly rate, but it gives a sense of scale for four hours with a driver.
An evening out with children
A child who falls asleep over dessert is much easier to get home when the car is waiting outside. Give each child's age in your request: the driver brings a suitable seat and fits it, at no extra cost, for the whole evening.
With two families, or with grandparents along, the guaranteed V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers in one vehicle, at €88 an hour. If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pick-up.
