How much is an Uber from Orly to Paris, and for a family of 5?

The short answer

From Orly into Paris, Uber publishes averages of €32 for UberX, €53 for UberXL and €65 for Van. A family of five should look at XL and Van: expect somewhere around €53 to €65 for the car, with no guaranteed amount.

These figures are averages over the past month, and Uber's own page says it was last updated in December 2024. By comparison, the taxi flat rate booked ahead for five comes to €48.50 or €57.50 depending on the bank of the Seine, and our fixed-price V-Class van to €115.

Uber averages checked on 12 October 2026 (UberX, Comfort, Berline) and 26 October 2026 (Wait & Save, XL, Van, Taxi); taxi flat rates as of 18 October 2026. Sources: Uber, Orly to Paris route; decree of 24 December 2025 on taxi fares.

Every option from Orly to Paris, side by side

The table brings together the categories Uber shows for this route, the official taxi flat rate and our two main vehicles. Every figure is a price for the whole car, not per person. The last column tells you what kind of number it is: an average, a regulated fare or a fixed price.

The same Uber page gives an average journey time of 35 minutes over 19 km. For one traveller without children, UberX is the cheapest line in this table after Wait & Save.

Five people: the sum that changes everything

French road safety rules leave no room for doubt: each seat takes one person only. Counting the driver, five travellers therefore need a car with at least six seats, so the fair comparison is no longer UberX but Uber's group categories, UberXL and Van. Our records do not show how many seats each one has: check in the app before you order.

A Paris taxi charges its flat rate per ride. The decree adds €5.50 from the fifth passenger and allows €7 more for an advance booking. For five people booked ahead, that makes €48.50 to the Left Bank and €57.50 to the Right Bank. One unknown remains: finding a taxi big enough, which we have not been able to verify.

Public transport is the other benchmark. The Paris Région ↔ Airports ticket, valid on line 14 or Orlyval to Orly for 2 hours including connections, costs €14 full fare and €7 reduced fare, per person: for five, the total multiplies, and you carry the suitcases yourselves.

What an average really means

An Uber average sums up past rides. It does not tell you what you will be asked to pay when you land: the fare offered depends on when you order and on demand at that moment. The price in the app on the day can therefore sit above or below the average.

The date matters too. Uber presents these figures as average prices over the past month, yet the page carries an update notice from December 2024. We quote it as it stands: it gives an order of magnitude, not a quote.

The taxi flat rate, like our fixed price, is known in advance. The difference lies in the extras: with a taxi they are added on top of the flat rate; with us, the amount confirmed is the amount you pay, day or night.

As a family

Child seats and luggage

According to what we recorded on 12 October 2026, Uber lets you book ahead but does not guarantee a child seat. With a baby or a young child, that means carrying your own seat off the plane, or setting off without knowing whether one will be there.

Luggage raises the same issue as seats: a family of five rarely travels light, and the boot space of Uber's categories is not in our records. Our V-Class van is rated for 7 passengers and 7 bags; our sedan, at 3 passengers, is not suitable for five.

Precelya

Precelya's fixed price between Orly and Paris

To be plain about it: for five people, our van costs more than the UberXL and Uber Van averages, and more than the taxi flat rate. What the difference buys: an amount set before you leave and unchanged at any hour, an age-appropriate child seat fitted by the driver, 60 minutes of waiting offered, your flight followed, a name-board welcome, tolls and parking, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up.
