A morning of meetings in Paris or La Défense: a driver by the hour, how much, and what invoice?
The short answer
A private driver by the hour is booked for at least 3 hours: €72 an hour in an E-Class sedan, so €216 for a 3-hour morning, and €88 an hour in a V-Class van, so €264. Every hour includes 20 km. You get one invoice per ride, with 10% VAT included.
From the 8th arrondissement to Courbevoie, the town that hosts La Défense, the route planner gives 5.5 to 7.8 km and 16 to 19 minutes without traffic, toll-free: a round trip fits easily within the included mileage. The car waits between meetings, and your files stay on board.

What a morning costs, by the number of hours
There is only one way to work it out: the hours you book, never fewer than 3, times the hourly rate of the vehicle. Included mileage follows the same count, 20 km per hour. The rate is the same in the morning, the afternoon and the evening.
| Time booked | E-Class sedan | Guaranteed V-Class van | Mileage included |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 hours (minimum) | €216 | €264 | 60 km |
| 4 hours | €288 | €352 | 80 km |
| 5 hours | €360 | €440 | 100 km |
Example: three meetings and a train. The driver collects you at your hotel, drops you outside an office in the 8th and waits. Next comes La Défense for the second meeting, then a lunch on the Right Bank, and the morning ends at the station for your early-afternoon train. If it all fits into four hours, the morning costs €288 by sedan. Tell us in your request how long you expect it to last: the price we confirm then covers the whole morning.
20 km per hour: enough to reach La Défense?
Yes, with plenty to spare. A 3-hour morning includes 60 km. The drive from the 8th arrondissement to Courbevoie is 5.5 to 7.8 km depending on the route, so even two round trips between central Paris and La Défense stay well under the total. The 16 to 19 minutes are worked out without traffic; at rush hour, allow longer. Time spent in traffic is part of the hours you booked: it is not added to the price.
If your morning reaches further, to a site in the outer suburbs or an airport at the end, describe it in your request: the extra mileage is built into the price we confirm. For a single ride from Paris to La Défense with no waiting, our price list shows no figure: the fixed price is given on request.
By the hour, or one ride per trip?
With a taxi or a ride-hailing app, every leg is a separate ride: a different car at each address, to be found as you walk out of the meeting. We have not recorded their prices for these trips, so we quote none. By the hour, one car stays with you all morning.
| Driver by the hour | One ride per trip (taxi, app) | |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle | The same one all morning | A new one for every leg |
| Between meetings | The car waits outside | Another car to order or find |
| Files, suitcases | Stay on board | Leave with you at every stop |
| Price | Known before the morning: €216 for 3 hours by sedan | One price per leg, not recorded here |
If all you need is one ride out and one back at set times, separate transfers may do; but beyond the free waiting time at an address, 15 minutes, each extra hour of waiting costs €72 by sedan. As soon as meetings follow one another, booking by the hour is simpler.
What a private driver changes, compared with a taxi or an app
A private driver gives his time to your ride: he takes no ride before yours, prepares and cleans the car, tracks your flight and stands at arrivals holding your name, then helps with the luggage. If the plane lands an hour late, he is still there; if the delay stretches on, he stays or we replace him. The driving is calm and safe. These commitments are written here in black and white; a metered ride or an app estimate carries none of them.
For the price gap shown, you are buying peace of mind: a driver who has only you, a car that is ready, and nobody to look for on arrival.

The invoice: one per ride, VAT included
An invoice is issued for every ride, by [INVOICE ISSUER]; a morning by the hour counts as one ride. It is made out to your company if you give its registered name and address in the request: include them in your first message, along with the passenger's name.
The price shown includes VAT. Passenger transport in France is taxed at the reduced rate of 10% (French Tax Code, article 279 b quater), and Precelya applies it to everything it sells, transfers and hourly hire alike. The rate is stated on the invoice.
A private driver in France works only on prior booking: you cannot flag one down in the street. Book the morning ahead, then; if a meeting moves, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pick-up.
A sedan for one executive, a van for a team
The E-Class sedan seats up to 3 passengers: the car for an executive on their own or a pair of colleagues. Once the team is larger than 3, or suitcases and boxes of documents need to stay on board, the guaranteed V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 7 bags, at €88 an hour.
If the team arrives that same morning, the booking can start at the station or the airport. Paris has six major railway stations; colleagues coming from western France, for example, arrive at Montparnasse. The train or flight is tracked, and pick-up time follows any delay. For a single ride with no waiting, a fixed-price transfer also exists: €75 from a Paris station, €105 from CDG, by sedan.
- A driver devoted to your ride: no ride before yours, a car prepared and cleaned, and he waits for you
- Help with luggage on arrival and departure, calm and safe driving
