Landing at CDG on 25 December: are there drivers, and does the price change at Christmas?
The short answer
Yes, you can get home from Roissy on Christmas Day. Charles de Gaulle airport is open 24 hours a day and, according to RATP, the RER B runs every day, from about 5 am to midnight. The taxi flat fare set by decree for 2026 is €56 for the Right Bank, €65 for the Left Bank, at any hour. With Precelya, a private driver costs €105 in an E-Class sedan between CDG and Paris, the same price as on an ordinary day: our price list has no holiday rate.
What we do not know, we say: no RER B timetable specific to 25 December has been published, and we hold no count of the taxis or ride-hailing cars working that day. In 2026, Christmas Day falls on a Friday. If someone is expecting you for lunch or dinner, booking the car ahead removes the one real unknown.
Checked on 18 October 2026 (RER B and taxi flat fares) and 12 October 2026 (averages published by Uber). Sources: RATP, CDG by RER B, Légifrance, decree of 24 December 2025 and Uber, CDG to Paris.
Christmas Day at Roissy: what runs, and what nobody can tell you yet
A long-haul flight that leaves on the evening of the 24th may touch down early on the morning of the 25th; a European flight tends to land later in the day. Either way, the airport is there to receive you: it is open around the clock.
The RER B links CDG with central Paris in about 30 minutes, on the Paris Région ↔ Airports ticket at €14 per person. RATP runs it every day, from about 5 am to midnight, with a train every 10 to 20 minutes in normal times. No special timetable for 25 December has been published: it runs on that day's schedule, which you should check in the app on the day. A plane landing at 4 am therefore arrives before the first train.
The evening of the 24th is the eve of a public holiday: according to RATP, the Paris metro then runs until about 2:15 am. That applies to the metro inside Paris, not to the ride in from the airport.
CDG to Paris on 25 December: the prices side by side
The table sets out the fares and averages known today. None of these amounts was recorded on a 25 December: they are this year's rules and published averages, nothing more.
| Option | Price | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| RER B | €14 per person | That day's schedule, check on the 25th |
| Taxi, Right Bank flat fare | €56, or €63 booked ahead | Regulated flat fare, €5.50 per passenger from the fifth |
| Taxi, Left Bank flat fare | €65, or €72 booked ahead | Regulated flat fare, €5.50 per passenger from the fifth |
| Uber Berline | €83 on average | Published average, not guaranteed |
| Uber Van | €84 on average | Published average, not guaranteed |
| Precelya, E-Class sedan | €105 for the car | Up to 3 passengers, same price on the 25th |
| Precelya, guaranteed V-Class van | €125 for the car | Up to 7 passengers, same price on the 25th |
Taxi flat fares checked on 18 October 2026 (decree of 24 December 2025): taxis may add €4 for an immediate booking and €7 for an advance booking. The Uber amounts are rolling one-month averages published by Uber, checked on 12 October 2026: they promise nothing about the price on a given day. The flat-fare taxi costs less than the sedan: the difference buys a car reserved in your name, your flight tracked, your driver already in the hall.
Among the offers we read on 12 October 2026, only taxis, on the flat fare, and one platform state the same price by day and by night; Welcome Pickups, for instance, goes from €63 to €73 at night. The details are on the late-night landing page.
What a private driver changes, compared with a taxi or an app
A private driver gives his time to your ride: he takes no ride before yours, prepares and cleans the car, tracks your flight and stands at arrivals holding your name, then helps with the luggage. If the plane lands an hour late, he is still there; if the delay stretches on, he stays or we replace him. The driving is calm and safe. These commitments are written here in black and white; a metered ride or an app estimate carries none of them.
For the price gap shown, you are buying peace of mind: a driver who has only you, a car that is ready, and nobody to look for on arrival.

Travelling alone with one bag: the RER B is still cheapest
To be straight with you: if you are coming home alone with one bag, in daylight, the RER B is still the cheapest way in, at €14. A car only makes sense for you if the train is not yet running when you land, or if your address is far from a station.
The sums change when there are several of you. A family of four pays €56 in full-fare tickets, carries suitcases and presents through the changes, and the sedan only takes 3 passengers: the van, at €125 for the car, takes everyone to the door in one go.
Booking ahead for 25 December
Give us your flight number: a flight leaving on the evening of the 24th and landing on the 25th is tracked like any other, and the pick-up time follows any delay. Your driver waits with a name board, and waiting is free for 60 minutes, time enough for passport control and the luggage belt.
Flying home for Christmas with a baby or young children? In France, a suitable child restraint is mandatory from birth to age 10. The child seat is included, suited to the child's age and fitted by the driver before you arrive: just tell us the children's ages when you book. If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pick-up.
And on 1 January?
Same answer. New Year's Day 2027 also falls on a Friday, and our price list still has only one price per route: landing at CDG on New Year's Day costs what it costs on a Tuesday in March. For the night before, with its closed streets and late journeys home, see a driver for New Year's Eve in Paris.
